KWS Electric Services Inc. is currently looking for Journeyperson Electricians (309A) with knowledge and hands on experience in a construction site workplace.

Responsibilities
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of electrical equipment installations
Install electrical and electronic systems in various devices, including traffic signals, traffic control devices, streetlights
Install, repairs, or replaces malfunctioning traffic signal control systems and street light systems
Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, distribution equipment, disconnects, breaker panels and other related devices
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the installation, maintenance, and repair of roadway lighting
Observes safe work methods and safety precautions relevant to the work
Ensure that all work meets the latest electrical codes and standards
Complete projects from start to finish with high workmanship standards and efficiency
Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of company’s assets

Skills and Abilities




Robust time management and organizational skills with an ability to be adaptable, manage multiple priorities and work in a rapid-paced environment
Ability to identify opportunities and potential risks when making repair and maintenance decisions
Knowledge of roadway electrical operations
Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the installation, maintenance, and repair of roadway lighting

Qualifications
Valid Journeyman Electrician certificate (309A)
International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA CPS) Signal certification
IMSA CPS Traffic Signal Technician I preferred
Fall Protection/WAH, Standard First Aid, Aerial Work Platform are assets
AZ/DZ license an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $45.16 per hour

Expected hours: 44.0 – 50.0 per week
