Job Summary
We are seeking a Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying tape and finishing compounds to drywall joints, ensuring a smooth and qualified finish. This role requires attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals. The Taper will play a crucial role in preparing surfaces for painting and other finishes, contributing to the overall quality of our projects.
Duties
Apply tape to drywall seams and corners using appropriate techniques
Mix and apply joint compound to create a smooth surface over taped joints
Sand and finish surfaces to prepare for painting or other finishes
Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and materials
Utilize caulking techniques where necessary for sealing gaps
Experience
Previous experience in drywall installation or finishing is preferred
Familiarity with caulking methods and tools is advantageous
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
