Job Title: Clinical Associate Physician – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Division of Critical Care, Department of Pediatrics, CHEO, University of Ottawa.Compensation: $125–$150 per hour (hourly rate), expected minimum of 5 overnight shifts per month, additional per diem shifts available.Clinical ResponsibilitiesProvide in‐house overnight coverage of the PICU, with backup support from the most responsible physician.Round on PICU patients and implement patient plans.See ER consults and rapid response team activations.Attend resuscitations and code blues.Perform or assist with procedures such as intubations, central lines, chest tubes, and arterial lines, based on experience.Support transfers from outside hospitals in collaboration with the pediatric transport team.Attend family and multidisciplinary meetings.QualificationsBachelor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent from an LCME‐accredited institution. Eligible for licensing in Ontario. Preference for Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Language: English required; French functional language ability is an asset.



Relevant experience in PICU and/or specialized training or certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, Anesthesia, or Pediatric Emergency Medicine is desirable but not mandatory.Perks & OpportunitiesFull‐time faculty appointment in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa at an academic rank commensurate with experience.
