Key Responsibilities Collaborate with EVP Chief Underwriting Officer, SVP Technical Director, and SVP Chief Pricing Actuary to develop and align treaty-level reinsurance strategies supporting business growth and portfolio optimization in Canada.

Work with Group Reinsurance and Canadian BU Analytics teams, incorporating their input into decision-making.

Support treaty premium planning and analysis.

Oversee treaty contract compliance.

Ensure data suitability for external/internal treaty pricing; collect and validate exposure information from the business.

Design scope of cover, determine contract wording, and release submissions.

Negotiate terms/conditions with approved reinsurers and finalize contract wordings.

Coordinate internal pricing models, benchmark price calculations, and risk transfer validation.

Complete compliance forms with Group Reinsurance Legal sign-off as required.

Adhere to reinsurance governance per risk policy and document accordingly.





Required Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor''s degree, preferably in finance or economics.

Minimum 10 15 years of reinsurance underwriting or brokerage experience.

Profound understanding of OSFI supervisory expectations for sound reinsurance practices/procedures.

Ability to build solid business partner relationships across units/functions in a collaborative team workplace.

Strong verbal/written communication for engaging senior management (SVP level).

Proficiency/motivation with technical details.

Strategic thinking, influencing, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills Robust analytics skillset.

Advanced knowledge of reinsurance contracts.

Negotiation and business partnering experience. MBA or postgraduate studies.

Bilingual in English and French.
