Software Development Manager, Promotions Customer Experience (PCX)About the RoleWe're looking for an SDM to own and grow one of our Promotions and Deals Frontend teams. You'll lead a team of ~8-10 SDEs building systems that process billions of pricing and promotions signals daily, powering the deal and coupon experiences customers see across Amazon's retail surfaces.What You'll DoOwn the technical roadmap, delivery, and operational excellence for your team's servicesDrive Prime Day and peak-event readiness - your systems are on the critical path for every major sale eventPartner with senior engineers to reduce latency, improve scalability, and harden service architectureManage hiring, development, and retention for your teamCollaborate cross-functionally with Retail Pricing, Deals, Coupons, and CX teams to align on platform strategyReduce operational toil through automation, better tooling, and self-service capabilitiesBasic Qualifications3+ years of engineering team management experience7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experienceKnowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operationsExperience partnering with product or program management teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements,
