In deal recovery management at PwC, you will focus on helping clients navigate financial distress and recover from challenging business situations. You will be responsible for providing strategic advice and solutions to optimize recovery outcomes.Purpose‐led work you'll be part ofActively participating in and initiating business development activities to source current mandatesHelping develop and implement turnaround plans or realization plans with the goal of maximizing recoveries to stakeholdersConducting financial analysis and developing financial and cash flow forecasts including the development of detailed models and conducting sensitivity analysisApplying your business acumen to develop or assess business plans to support turnaround plansWorking with additional advisors to integrate tax, regulatory and other legal considerations into the development of turnaround or realization plansCoordinating the execution of distressed M&A or refinancing activitiesAssisting in the preparation of high‐quality presentations and/or reports for key stakeholdersTaking a "hands‐on" role to manage stakeholders and lead changeRunning in‐Court and out of Court restructuring or realization processesSupporting the learning and development of team members through the delivery of quality in‐flight learning during the execution of mandates and the provision of regular feedbackExperiences and Skills You'll Use to SolveA professional accounting designation, or international equivalent,
or similar post‐graduate designation demonstrating financial, business or management expertiseEquivalent years of experience in a professional services or business advisory environmentSpecific financial restructuring, operational restructuring or insolvency experience, including experience advising debtors and creditors, and acting pursuant to appointments under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies' Creditors Arrangement ActPursuing or holding the CIRP designation provided by the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) and the Licensed Insolvency Trustee designation provided by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy (OSB)Strong technical skills, including the ability to evaluate financial results and detailed financial/cash flow forecastsExcellent analytical, problem solving, communication and report writing skills, including experience with court reports and complex deliverablesStrong project management skills and the ability to lead high performing project teamsSolid client relationship development and business development abilitiesThe ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time within Canada and internationallyThe salary range for this position is $147,300 - $197,300. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm‐wide achievements.
