DescriptionShared Health and the University of Manitoba, Department of Internal Medicine, are inviting applications for Section Head, Hepatology. The successful candidate will also be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor, and will function as a geographical full‐time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. Based at the Health Sciences Centre, the Section Head will lead a group of academic hepatologists in a busy and expanding liver disease program and report to the Head, Department of Internal Medicine and Provincial Specialty Lead Internal Medicine. The candidate should demonstrate proven leadership abilities, administrative skills, and an interest in furthering undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education in Hepatology. A track record of continuing productivity in lab‐based, translational, and/or investigator‐driven clinical research in Hepatology and demonstrated collaboration within and outside their current department or institution are assets.QualificationsThe successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree with specialization in Internal Medicine and Hepatology. The candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
