Support neonatal health as a skilled Respiratory Therapist. Provide critical airway management and ventilation assessment that meets the unique needs of neonatal patients.
The Registered Respiratory Therapist in this role reports to the Patient Care Manager and is engaged in delivering oxygenation and ventilation care within a family-centered, interprofessional framework. Key responsibilities include assessment and management of ventilation, conducting blood sampling, and performing intubation. The RRT is critical during emergency situations such as neonatal resuscitations, alongside mentoring therapy students as part of their continuous education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized oxygenation and ventilation support
• Monitor neonatal patients' ventilation and saturation
• Conduct arterial and capillary blood sampling
• Participate in neonatal resuscitation teams
• Mentor respiratory therapy students and interprofessional learners
Requirements:
• Must be a certified Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Preferred experience working with neonates
• Hold current certification in NRP and BCLS
• Effective in stressful and cooperative settings
