Skeena Gold + Silver is hiring a Senior Tax Director in Vancouver to enhance tax strategies as the Eskay Creek mine progresses. Collaborate on tax efficiency and compliance initiatives.
Reporting to the CFO, you will take charge of developing and executing tax strategies essential for all phases of the Eskay Creek project. Your extensive tax experience will be vital for guiding departmental structures, optimizing tax compliance, and advising on strategic partnerships with Indigenous organizations. Furthermore, you will support recent business lines and ensure rigorous tax audits and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Structure recent business lines with tax efficiency
• Ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations




• Lead resource taxation and agreements
• Develop audits and risk management strategies
• Build a skilled tax department as the mine develops
Requirements:
• CPA and completion of the In-Depth Tax Program
• Minimum 10 years of tax experience in mining industry
• Robust command of Canadian corporate tax laws
• Background in a public company is a plus
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
