This is an opportunity to lead consulting assignments ranging from strategic studies and process development to operating plant optimization and business growth initiatives. Our culture is built on delivering real world solutions that are technically sound, commercially practical and focused on achieving results.What you will doAs Chief Hydrometallurgist you will provide technical leadership while supporting the growth and success of our consulting business.Technical LeadershipDevelop bench scale, laboratory, and pilot plant testing program for hydrometallurgical processesLead process development, flowsheet design, and process optimization initiativesConduct studies focused on throughput improvements, productivity enhancement, impurity management and operational performanceProvide technical leadership for process modelling,



process design and metallurgical assessmentsDeliver practical solutions to complex metallurgical challengesClient and Operations SupportProvide on site support for metallurgical operations including:TroubleshootingProcess optimizationMetallurgical auditsBenchmarking studiesDebottlenecking initiativesProduct quality improvementAct as a trusted advisor to clients on strategic and operational issuesSupport clients in improving safety, productivity, and operating performanceBusiness Development & ConsultingDevelop and maintain solid client relationshipsIdentify and pursue new business opportunitiesPrepare technical and commercial proposalsSupport marketing and business development activitiesRepresent XPS at industry events and professional forumsContribute to the continued growth of the hydrometallurgical consulting practiceLeadership & Project ManagementLead and manage multidisciplinary consulting projectsEnsure projects are delivered safely, on-schedule, within budget, and to the highest standardsMentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers and metallurgists in both Hydrometallurgy and PyrometallurgyManage project financial performance, budgets, cost controls and resource allocationsFoster technical excellence and continuous improvement within the teamWhat We're Looking ForEducation & ExperienceDegree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum 10 years of relevant hydrometallurgical experience or an equivalent combination of advanced education and industry experienceExperience in hydrometallurgy or precious metals extractionDemonstrated experience in: Flowsheet development, Process design, Bench-scale testwork, Pilot plant programs, Process optimizationPrevious consulting and/or plant operations experience is considered a strong assetP.Eng.
