Hudbay Minerals is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to monitor workplace conditions and enhance safety protocols. Reporting to the Health and Safety Environment Superintendent, you will assist in radiation and asbestos management, manage safety data sheets, and provide employee training. A camp is available on shift, and relocation packages are offered for those moving to Snow Lake.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor employee exposure to health and safety hazards
• Act as an alternate Radiation Safety Officer
• Manage Asbestos Management Program effectively
• Develop safety procedures and initiatives
• Communicate testing results to employees
Requirements:
• Diploma in Occupational/Industrial Hygiene
• Minimum of 2 years experience in health and safety
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH or ROH) preferred
• Familiarity with health and safety legislation
• Solid communication skills for training employees
