The CI Manager will have the opportunity to support UTS with bids, playbook development and sector CI initiatives.What You'll Do HereCollaborative Contracting Model (CCM) Playbook (PB) Development and ImplementationSupport in planning / delivering PB milestones, including accountable business lead (ABL)/subject matter expert (SME) weekly and monthly check-ins, and status updates with milestonesSupport UTS CCM Playbook development with documented guidelines, best practices, templates, and RACIWork with content SME owners to adopt, utilize, and sustain the UTS PB program (transition from development to implementation)Lessons Learned Program & Process: develop a sector lessons learned program including PDCA for Continuous Improvement; facilitate lessons learned/root cause workshops to develop improvement opportunities; embed Lessons Learned in PBSupport ABLs/SMEs in creating content for PB documents; create new documents (Lean for CCM) leveraging the Aecon Building Smarter program and industry best practicesEmbed CI/Lean philosophies into PB content; support PB Training andProject Deployment Plan; provide expert review of contentDevelop PDCA plan to ensure ongoing viability of UTS PDB Operating Model implementationUTS Sector: lead CI improvement initiatives across HR, Finance, Commercial,



IDD, Project Controls, Bids, etc.; analyze practices, identify waste, and establish productivity measuresDevelop and implement an Improvement & Innovation Program to turn waste walks and lessons learned into tangible solutionsDevelop Job/Role specific lean training standards; provide lean training and development for staffDevelop a communication plan and rollout schedule for lean training and usage on current and future projectsCollaborate with project teams to improve cross-project operations and dissemination of opportunities for improvementIntegrate lean methods in preconstruction services including proposal development, validation and scoping, partner development and alignmentDevelop and update Lean Project Development Plan (LPDP) for cohesive lean deployment on projectsCoordinate Sector workstream planning (LPS) and Corporate Waste Walk ChallengesRoll-out new corporate lean initiatives to projects; work with Project CI Managers to implement, monitor, and improve the LPDPProject SupportDevelop and support high-performing teams with activities such as project setup, validation, lessons learned, and planningLead the project CI team in developing and deploying a project-wide lean strategy that emphasizes a team-oriented, best-for-project approachPerform workplace assessments and time studies to streamline processes and improve productivity within projectsFacilitate implementation of Last Planner SystemCollaborate with Aecon Corporate CI team on lessons learned initiatives and processes; coordinate sector tie-ins to WW challenges through regular project-based WWs; coach and promote lean thinkingWhat You Bring To The TeamBachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field required5+ years of experience in lean construction and application of lean tools in a construction/project delivery environment7–10 years of collective experience in related field, including project execution and general coordinationUrban Transportation industry experience preferredDemonstrated, proven track record of deploying lean methods including the Last Planner SystemExperience in large, complex projects, capital projects, or Joint Ventures with multiple interfaces requiredAssociated General Contractor Lean-CM Certification preferredCertified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferredLCI-CPC Certified Construction Practitioner or LCI-CPD Certified Design Practitioner preferredReason for vacancy: NewPay range: $120,000 - $160,000Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
