Position: Middle School Teacher (possible include Grade 8 & 9 English, Social Studies, Science, ADST)

Employment Type: 1.0 FTE

Position Dates: Sept 2026‑June 2027 (Maternity Leave)

Salary Range: $54,866‑$87,523 (dependent on education/certificate and experience)

Responsibilities

Use place‑based learning and the Going PLACES initiative to enhance competency‑focused learning objectives.

Develop inquiry‑based, hands‑on learning prospects paired with subject‑related outcomes.

Demonstrate excellent communication skills with students, staff, and parents.

Maintain strong classroom management and organizational skills.





Communicate a Biblical worldview throughout all subjects.

Qualifications

Possess or be in the process of attaining a British Columbia Skilled Teaching Certificate.

Be eligible to work in British Columbia.

Be willing to receive guidance from a mentor.

Know effective strategies for Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and place‑based learning.

Be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills with students, staff, and parents.

Have solid classroom management and organizational skills.

Communicate a Biblical worldview throughout all subjects.
