Klinic Community Health is hiring a Trauma Counsellor to support individuals and groups affected by interpersonal trauma. This role offers a meaningful prospect to facilitate healing and recovery.
Your responsibilities will include providing therapeutic interventions grounded in Strength Based, Person Centred, and Holistic practices. Reporting to the Manager of Counselling Services, you will assess client needs and maintain a protected space for their healing journeys. Candidates must possess at least two years of direct counselling experience, particularly in trauma settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver counselling services to clients struggling with trauma
• Ensure confidentiality and qualified ethics in all interactions
• Complete necessary documentation including intake and assessment forms
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of counselling programs
• Participate in training and clinical supervision activities
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in social sciences (preferred graduate degree)
• At least two years of counselling experience in a clinical context
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must pass background checks
