Drive policy initiatives as a Policy Advisor with the National Police Federation in Ottawa. Your role will significantly influence public safety operations affecting thousands of RCMP members.
Collaborating with the Manager of Government Relations & Policy, this position requires expertise in research and policy development. You will provide essential support to task forces, ensuring that members' voices are reflected in policy recommendations. This hybrid role offers flexibility, enabling you to balance work and personal commitments effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research policy topics relevant to NPF members
• Support coordination of internal task force meetings
• Develop structured policy briefs and response documents
• Analyze survey data to formulate recommendations
• Track current events impacting public safety
Requirements:
• University degree or equivalent in relevant areas
• Over 4 years in policy within associations or unions
• Bilingualism required (English/French)
• Proficient in research and Microsoft Office
• Solid writing and analytical capabilities
