Become a key contributor to soil data research at the University of Alberta as a Postdoctoral Fellow. This in-person role at North Campus, Edmonton, emphasizes cooperative work on economic valuations.

Over a two-year appointment, you will focus on developing optimization models for land use. Collaborating closely with Drs. Feng Qiu and Xiaoli Fan, your work will include assessing the value of soil data for land management and conservation. Prepare reports and presentations to effectively communicate research findings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design models for land allocation optimization
• Assess the value of soil data for management decisions
• Draft academic reports and publication content




• Create and deliver presentations to stakeholders
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary research team

Requirements:
• Completed PhD in agricultural economics or a related discipline
• Robust communication skills in English
• Proficient in GIS and land use modeling
• Skilled with statistical software: STATA, R, GAMS, or MATLAB
• Understanding of optimization and simulation methods
