Schedule
Ongoing – start anytime. Program days: Tuesdays 3:15‑5:15. Semester: September (and continuing).
About This Chance
Make a difference after school – Become a Running & Reading Club Mentor! This unique after‑school program promotes literacy, healthy active living, and play for children aged 6‑13 (Grades 1‑6). Just one afternoon a week for two hours, you’ll support students through meaningful activities that help them stay in school, build self‑confidence, and form positive relationships with peers and mentors.
Responsibilities
Participate in fitness activities
Read one‑on‑one with children
Help serve healthy snacks
Lead or support engaging literacy games and activities
Volunteer Requirements
Willing to undergo a background or police records check
Adhere to the volunteer code of conduct
Minimum 16 years old
Comfortable commuting to the chance location
