Become a Child Counsellor at SACE, where you will provide essential therapy to youth facing the impacts of sexual assault. This full time role is committed to community support and advocacy.
SACE invites a compassionate qualified to engage in crisis intervention and ongoing support for children ages 3–17. You will balance individual and group sessions, contributing significantly to community partnerships and training opportunities. Flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend work is necessary to meet client needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct crisis intervention and therapy for young clients
• Book a minimum of five counselling sessions daily
• Offer group therapy sessions as required by programs
• File comprehensive reports and program statistics
• Engage with community services for effective treatment
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in counselling or social work
• Active registration with a relevant qualified body
• Proven experience in child and youth counselling
• Knowledge of sexual violence issues and treatments
• Commitment to diversity and anti-oppressive support
