Elevate your career as a Networking Architect at the House of Commons, focusing on Communications Distribution Design. This role is specialized in network infrastructure and cabling systems support.
As a part of Digital Services and Real Property, you will design and evaluate cabling and network infrastructure for recent developments and renovations. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders to align project goals with industry standards and policies, while also consulting on best practices in communications distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and recommend cabling and network designs
• Research evolving technologies pertaining to IT and cabling
• Collaborate on project planning with key stakeholders
• Prepare enterprise-level recommendations for infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with IM/IT strategies throughout projects
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• Bicsi RCDD certification essential
• Five years' experience in infrastructure design
• Proven skills in drafting and responding to RFPs/RFIs
• Familiarity with IT capacity management and procurement processes
