Our client is seeking an effective organizational and strategic leader. You must possess strong business acumen, visionary and financial acuity with the ability to provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.The Financial Controller position is a critical role with direct impact on financial structure. This position requires a high level of autonomy. You will have direct access to leadership and decision-making.Responsibilities:Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met for the Canadian and US companiesSupervise a team of 7-10 in financePrepare all supporting information for the annual auditDocument and maintain complete information for all financial transactionsDevelop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable,



accounts receivable and petty cashSupervise the reconciliation of bank and investment accountsPrepare non-consolidated and consolidated monthly statements and implement monthly variance reportingPrepare and submit payroll files every two weeks (Canada & US)Will also be responsible for all human resource functionsDevelop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure and in compliance with current legislationMaximize income where possible and appropriateOversee and supervise the administrative function of the organization necessary for effective operationsOversee the management of all leases, contracts and other financial commitmentsMonitor all legislation relevant to the organization and all regulations on skilled certification to ensure that the organization is compliantRequirements:Undergraduate degree in Finance or Financial Accounting or Business Administration8-10 years of progressive financial responsibilityPrevious experience doing accounting for US Companies, including exposure to sales taxes in multiple states and income taxesStrong computer proficiencyExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to multitask and prioritizeDetailed, oriented and analyticalStrong time management and organization skillsProven team management experienceOur client is looking for someone who:Takes full ownership of their numbersThrives in a fast-paced environmentBuilds, improves, and challenges existing processes #J-18808-Ljbffr
