Reporting to the CFO, this role encompasses overseeing UNIQLO Canada's accounting practices, ensuring compliance, and enhancing financial reporting. With your background in retail or multinational accounting, you'll play a key strategic role supporting organizational growth and operational alignment with international teams. Your hands-on leadership will be critical in mentoring your team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct all aspects of accounting from AP to budget preparation
• Foster relationships with stakeholders for P&L; management
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
• Lead audits, identifying risks and enhancing controls
• Cultivate a high-performing accounting team through training
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA designation preferred
• 7 years of accounting experience, 4 in a leadership role
• Solid understanding of IFRS and Canadian tax compliance
• Solid analytical and leadership abilities
• Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement
