Job Title Specialist, Materials Engineering (Forging)
Location Longueuil, Quebec, Canada
Responsibilities Support designers in the selection of aerospace‑grade casting materials.
Advise on coating selection based on engine function and workplace (erosion, corrosion).
Review, approve, and revise drawings and technical specifications.
Coordinate supplier visits for process reviews, walk‑throughs, and technical input.
Design, conduct, and manage test logistics for material property characterization.
Prepare and deliver technical memoranda and memorandums.
Manage data analysis and statistical capabilities related to material performance.
Ensure compliance with aerospace certification requirements.
Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace forging or related manufacturing.
Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
Capacity to work under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
Solid sense of customer service and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Adaptable, autonomous, and rigorous approach with a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; French speaking environment required.
