Reporting to the Supervisor of Development Planning, you will oversee the review of intricate development applications. In this role, you’ll guide projects through the application review process, work closely with various departments and community members, and update essential planning policies and bylaws to reflect the City's strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead review and processing of complex development applications
• Coordinate multidisciplinary reviews with internal and external partners
• Prepare planning reports and recommendations for Council




• Develop and improve planning policies and processes
• Participate in community amenities negotiations
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Urban Planning or related field
• Full membership or eligibility for the Canadian Institute of Planners
• Strong municipal planning principles knowledge
• Experience managing development applications
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
