Become a key player at Mackenzie Health as a Registered Social Worker focused on trauma in domestic abuse contexts. Provide essential psychotherapy and support for clients aged 13 and older facing significant challenges.
As a part of the Domestic Abuse Sexual Assault (DASA) team, you will work to create therapeutic plans and ensure comprehensive care. This role includes delivering both psychoeducation for families and community referrals. While working collaboratively, you will also partake in committees aimed at addressing violence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform individual intakes and develop tailored treatment strategies
• Utilize evidence-based trauma therapies for client care
• Provide advocacy for clients navigating DASA
• Assist clients with appropriate community organization referrals
• Deliver presentations on assault education and prevention
Requirements:
• Must hold registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers
• Master’s degree in Social Work or a relevant field
• Experience with psychotherapy for children and adults
• In-depth knowledge of trauma and abuse-related practices
• At least three years of relevant clinical experience preferred
