Provide expert psychological support as a part time Psychologist at the Transitional Pain Clinic, St. Paul’s Hospital. Help patients through their recovery journeys with tailored therapeutic interventions.
This role involves collaborating with medical specialists to assess and treat patients experiencing surgical pain. You'll contribute to a developing psychology service, participate in case conferences, and lead research initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes. Your insights will help shape care plans and treatment pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct extensive psychological assessments and therapy
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary care strategies
• Lead development of psychological services within the clinic
• Guide and educate clinical staff and students
• Manage research projects in pain psychology
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an internship
• Minimum two years in a medical psychology role
• Registration eligibility with CHCPBC within a year
• Research design and implementation experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of psychological assessment tools
