Respirologist - Peace Arch Hospital
Fraser Health Authority is urgently seeking a recent Respirologist to replace a retiring doctor. The position involves a mix of hospital inpatient consultations, Level 3 pulmonary function diagnostics, and an fully functional office practice.

Level 3 pulmonary function lab

8 ICU/CCU beds cared by Internal Medicine

Fully operational solo‑practice outpatient respirology clinic for independent practitioner

Office space available with reasonable rent in a mixed complex

Free parking for staff and patients, less than 10‑minute drive to the hospital

Thoracic surgery at Surrey Memorial Hospital with 5 busy thoracic surgeons

BC Cancer Agency site, Fraser Valley Cancer Centre, adjacent to Surrey Memorial Hospital

Responsibilities

Provide respiratory consultation to the hospital for in- and outpatients

No official on‑call requirement, no general internal medicine call

Take consults from hospitalist and internists (approximately 1–5 per week) for inpatients during weekdays 9 AM‑5 PM, excluding holidays

Handle outpatient referrals from ER and community

Ideal Candidate

Fellowship in Respirology with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada





Eligible for Independent license by the College of Physicians & Surgeons of BC (CPSBC)

Canadian permanent residency or citizenship

Robust interpersonal and cooperative skills with a dedication to service excellence

Remuneration & Compensation

Fee for service for clinical work and diagnostics

Sessional TB clinic work available at the New Westminster TB clinic (Division of TB Control, BCCDC)

Option to apply for a clinical position with the UBC Department of Medicine
