Hiring for Various Locations Across Canada Ledcor is hiring Heavy Equipment Mechanics for upcoming major construction projects across Canada. Skilled tradespersons are sought with passion for equipment reliability, safety, and quality workmanship.
Essential Responsibilities Protected & cost‑effective maintenance of heavy mobile equipment
Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, haul trucks, and support equipment
Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and site requirements
Conduct pre‑trip/walk‑around safety inspections and complete daily field‑level hazard assessments for all activities
Complete maintenance reporting and other documentation as required
Collaborate and communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
Lead both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
Qualifications 3+ years previous experience preferred
Journeyperson certification from a recognized training authority




Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
Must successfully complete pre‑access drug and alcohol testing
Must have a valid Driver’s License and a clear 3‑year driver abstract
Experience with equipment such as CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, and Hitachi
Robust commitment to safety and protected work practices
Ability to work rotations, shifts, and overtime
Work Conditions Travel allowances provided across Canada
Living out allowance or camp available for eligible candidates
