Take on the role of Mechanic within School District #60's Transportation Department, responsible for the maintenance of the fleet, including school buses and maintenance vehicles. Work full time, ensuring reliable vehicle performance for the school community.

Reporting to the Transportation Supervisor, this position demands proficiency in both mechanical and electronic repairs. Responsibilities encompass everything from conducting safety checks to maintaining a neat working workplace. Safety and compliance with protocols are paramount in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Execute mechanical diagnostics and repairs on school vehicles
• Perform comprehensive safety checks and road tests
• Keep the workshop clean and organized




• Complete necessary work orders and documentation
• May supervise in the absence of the Working Foreman

Requirements:
• Inter provincial Red Seal Certification in Heavy Duty Mechanics
• Experience with computerized diagnostic systems
• Class 5 driver's license with an air brake endorsement
• WHMIS Certificate and relevant safety training
• Clearance through a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Search
