Teck is looking for a dedicated professional with extensive mining experience to join our Logan Lake team. You will lead the Mine Geotechnical program, engaging with both internal teams and external consultants to achieve compliance in geotechnical designs. Your solid problem-solving skills will be vital as you navigate the complexities of open-pit operations and actively participate in safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety leadership and environmental compliance
• Supervise and mentor geotechnical engineering staff
• Oversee dewatering installation activities
• Review consultants’ work for compliance with specifications
• Conduct inspections and manage asset budgeting
Requirements:
• Degree in Geological or Geotechnical Engineering
• Eligible for P. Eng. registration with EGBC
• Ten years of industry experience in geotechnical roles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and geotechnical software
• Valid driver’s license essential
