Join Fraser Health as a Geriatric Community Mental Health Clinician based in Burnaby. This part time role requires expertise in supporting elderly clients facing mental health challenges.
You will work closely with a dedicated team to provide assessment, treatment, and community education for elderly clients. This involves developing crisis intervention strategies, offering psychosocial treatments, and collaborating with families and community agencies to enhance service delivery. Your active participation will help improve the quality of life for seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver clinical services and comprehensive assessments
• Implement treatment plans and interventions for elderly clients
• Facilitate ongoing monitoring of complex cases
• Maintain accurate documentation of clinical activities
• Advocate for clients' and families’ needs
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or related field
• At least one year of experience in geriatric psychiatry
• Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle
• Proven ability to work within interdisciplinary teams
• Valuable understanding of mental health legislation
