Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable Manual Lathe Operator to join their team in Port Kells, Surrey. What You’ll Be Doing
Operate a manual lathe along with band saws, table saws, drill press, grinders, and hand tools
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to produce parts to exact specifications
Ensure accuracy in tolerances, surface finishes, and overall product quality
Track and document approved and defective units
Set up machines using proper feeds, speeds, and tooling
Perform basic maintenance on equipment to keep operations running smoothly
Accurately record time against work orders
What You Bring
Strong experience working with a manual lathe (5+ years preferred)
Proven ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Hands‑on experience with shop equipment and measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures
Solid understanding of safe work practices and quality standards
High attention to detail with a focus on precision and consistency
Experience in a production or plastics environment is an asset but not required
Schedule
Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
