Join Humber's Faculty of Health and Life Sciences as a Professor focused on Indigenous Ways of Knowing in Health and Education. This full-time academic role emphasizes culturally responsive education and community partnership.
This position prioritizes advancing inclusion for Indigenous students and fostering understanding of Indigenous health determinants. Teaching primarily in Early Childhood Education and Nursing, you will develop curricula and deliver courses that encompass Indigenous Studies and culturally protected pedagogy. The successful candidate will contribute positively to curriculum design while connecting students with community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and teach Indigenous health-related curricula
• Foster partnerships with Indigenous communities




• Incorporate Land-Based learning experiences
• Support faculty in integrating Indigenous perspectives
• Conduct research on Indigenous knowledge systems
Requirements:
• Master’s degree, PhD preferred
• Minimum five years of postsecondary teaching experience
• Significant experience with Indigenous communities
• Knowledge of decolonizing pedagogy
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
