AMHS-KFLA is seeking an Integrated Care Peer Support Worker focused on assisting individuals aged 18 and older with substance use and mental health challenges. Utilize your own experiences to provide a harm reduction approach that fosters wellness and trust.
In this role, you'll play a vital part of an interprofessional team, facilitating access to essential services for clients. Your responsibilities will involve actively engaging clients to assess needs and ensure a secure and supportive atmosphere that promotes recovery and empowerment through client-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Actively engage with clients and assess their needs
• Facilitate connections to essential community resources
• Promote and uphold harm reduction practices

Requirements:
• Relevant diploma or certification in a health-related discipline
• Minimum one year experience in addiction or mental health
• Lived experience with mental health challenges is preferred
• Solid communication skills and empathy
• Availability to work flexible schedule and transport clients
