We are seeking a strategic, hands on Business Unit Controller to join the senior leadership team of a premier manufacturing organization.
Overview
In this role you will oversee all financial and accounting functions for the business unit while serving as a key strategic advisor to plant operations and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Decision Support: deliver monthly financial statements with deep dive variance analysis, identifying key trends
Strategic Modelling: lead business case development, financial modeling and competitor analysis to evaluate profitability and drive value creation
Capex: review and financially justify major appropriation requests
Complex Accounting: apply robust accounting & valuation concepts to support decision making (fixed asset evaluations, capital leases, valuation reserves)
Plant Performance: partner closely with operations and plant management to analyze standard cost variances, inventory valuation and manufacturing performance
Risk Mitigation: oversee internal controls and identify process gaps
Budgeting and Forecasting: lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
Leadership:
direct and mentor a team (includes AP, AR, Accountant)

Qualifications
CPA qualified designation is required
7+ years of progressive experience within a large complex manufacturing environment
Expertise in standard costing, inventory management and plant level operational analysis is required
Financial modeling skills required
A credible, agile, self‑starter who can work autonomously
Excellent written and oral communication skills
ERP systems and Excel required
