Elevate your career with Arista Networks as a Lead Firmware Engineer. This key role focuses on developing and maintaining CPU firmware and BIOS software in a collaborative setting.
As part of Arista's BIOS team, you will be responsible for executing firmware development, including boot loaders and low-level CPU software across all products. With a focus on boot security and reliability, your role will include integrating recent CPU technologies and working closely with hardware engineers. This position requires a breadth of software engineering experience in C/C++ and Python, along with a strong understanding of CPU firmware development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop low-level software for Arista products
• Create automated tests using C, C++, and Python




• Collaborate with hardware engineers for recent CPU qualifications
• Engage with the Linux Kernel community for feature contributions
• Lead projects and mentor junior engineers
Requirements:
• BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of firmware/software development experience
• Proficiency in C and familiarity with C++ and Python
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting low-level firmware
• Knowledge of x86 and ARM architectures
