Associate – Commercial Real Estate

We are BordenLadnerGervais LLP (BLG), Canada’s leading law firm. The Toronto office seeks an associate to support a high‑profile, agile Commercial Real Estate group that manages multi‑million‑dollar transactions, complex acquisitions, disposals, leasing, mixed‑use development and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
Support drafting and negotiation of transactional documents, including financing, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and construction agreements.
Assist in due diligence, transaction structuring and post‑transaction monitoring for mixed‑use development and infrastructure projects.
Advise clients on complex real‑estate matters across public and private sectors.
Collaborate with senior attorneys, clients and junior lawyers, providing mentoring and training support.

Qualifications
Law degree and admission to practice in Canada.
2–4years of experience in commercial real‑estate transactions, including finance,



acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, mixed‑use development, infrastructure and construction contracts.
Robust analytical, oral and written communication skills.
Team‑player mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Salary

Expected salary range is $155,000–$200,000, depending on experience, location and other factors.
