Lead water management initiatives with Highland Valley Copper as the Chief Engineer for Water Resources. This in office role focuses on optimizing water strategies and technical leadership in a team-oriented workplace.
In this full-time position located in Logan Lake, BC, you'll report to the Integrated Planning & Production Superintendent. The Chief Engineer oversees water forecasting, provides technical oversight, and ensures compliance in water management. Leverage your expertise in water planning, modelling, and risk assessment while mentoring a capable team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the water planning function under Integrated Planning & Production
• Develop and maintain site-wide water management strategies
• Ensure QA/QC for all water-related work
• Coordinate water-related activities across operations and teams
• Mentor and supervise the existing water planning team
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in water resources or related engineering field
• Minimum 10+ years in water management or planning
• Strong technical background in water modelling and infrastructure
• Registered or eligible for registration with EGBC
• Excellent communication skills to engage key stakeholders
