We’re partnering with a mission-driven national government organization to recruit a Legal Counsel for a dynamic banking and finance role based in Toronto. This is a unique prospect to work on complex, high-profile Indigenous equity and infrastructure transactions across sectors including energy, natural resources and major projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in banking/finance, project finance or sophisticated transactional work from a leading Bay Street or in-house environment.
Responsibilities
Provide legal counsel on banking, finance, project finance or sophisticated transactional matters related to Indigenous equity and major infrastructure transactions.
Support transactions across sectors including energy,
natural resources and major projects, with high visibility to senior leadership.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external counsel to structure, negotiate and close transactions.
Qualifications
Robust experience in banking/finance, project finance or sophisticated transactional work from a leading Bay Street firm or in-house setting.
Experience handling complex, high-profile transactions and knowledge of Indigenous participation considerations is a plus.
