The AGCO seeks a full-time Legal Counsel to enhance its Legal Services Division within the Corporate and Regulatory Law Branch. Candidates should have at least five years of legal experience in a similar setting. Key responsibilities include providing legal advice on compliance, governance, and regulatory matters related to gaming, liquor, and cannabis sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice on AGCO statutes
• Advise on corporate law and compliance issues
• Draft contracts and legal documentation
• Support AGCO Board governance initiatives
• Represent the Registrar in external engagements
Requirements:
• Law Degree (LL.B. or J.D.) from an accredited institution
• Membership in valuable standing with the Law Society of Ontario
• 5+ years legal experience in a regulatory workplace
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Adaptable to evolving regulatory frameworks
