Support the success and satisfaction of the Planning and Engineering groups within Irving Shipbuilding. As the most contemporary shipyard in North America, Irving Shipyard is defined by its pace and appetite for change. This role requires jumping right in, taking ownership, and leading the charge even when the way forward isn’t always explicit.

Requirements for Applicants
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
This role requires on-site presence.

Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with customers to understand their goals, challenges, and expectations.
Oversee the management of IT systems, infrastructure, and operations to ensure efficiency and reliability.
Lead and manage IT teams, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff.
Serve as an advocate for customers within the company, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.




Provide guidance and support to customers in using the company’s products or services effectively.
Provide management and oversight on technology projects and ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
Monitor satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure business partner success.
Communicate with business partners to provide updates, gather feedback, and address any issues or concerns.
Identify opportunities for leveraging enterprise products or services that align with the business partners’ needs and goals.
Communicate the value of IT initiatives and achievements to the organization’s leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business or Computer Science.
5+ years of IT experience.
Progressive leadership experience.
Robust verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Assets
Business Relationship Management Certification.
PROSCI Certified Change Practitioner.
