Benefits & Perks

Compensation: $100,000 - $112,000 CAD annually

Please note, this role will be fully in office at the client’s Whitby, ON office

Permanent, full‑time position + Benefits

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and presentation of annual budgets, long‑range forecasts, and monthly financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

Provide timely financial analysis and recommendations to support senior leadership and Command‑level decision‑making

Monitor spending across units and branches to ensure adherence to approved budgets and financial policies

Administer, maintain, and enhance financial planning and reporting systems, tools, and modelling frameworks

Conduct monthly spending analyses, year‑end projections, and detailed variance reporting

Audit key expenditure categories including payroll, capital projects, and cost‑recovery revenue

Develop and deliver training sessions for leaders and finance staff on budgeting processes, reporting tools, and system utilization

Prepare ad‑hoc financial reports, benchmarking studies, and insights for internal and external stakeholders

Drive continuous process improvement within the Finance Unit by identifying and implementing workflow and system enhancements

Support special projects, new initiatives,



and cross‑functional financial reviews as required

Qualifications

University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field

CPA designation required

Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis

Strong background managing full budget and forecast cycles within large ERP environments

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio) and ERP‑based reporting tools

Demonstrated ability to design and deliver financial training and presentations for senior audiences

Strong analytical, audit, and problem‑solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to compliance

Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance reporting quality and operational efficiency

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights

Ability to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
