We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team at Harvard Media. This is an excellent prospect for a talented individual to contribute to the accounting and finance functions of a dynamic and exciting industry.

Responsibilities

Perform monthly bank reconciliations.

Compile and enter monthly journal entries.

Monthly accounts receivable and accounts payable reconciliations

Monthly general ledger and budget variance review, including accounts payable coding review.

Monthly tariff reporting

Capital asset management, including asset registries.

Daily deposit and credit card processing troubleshooting and assistance.

Cash management and payments.

Credit card usage monitoring.

Contract review and tracking.

Monthly closing process.

Assist with yearend audit, CCD reporting and CRTC filings.





Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and remittances to regulatory parties.

Invoice Coding and entry

Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

Adaptable, with the ability to learn new concepts and apply them effectively.

Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Post-secondary degree or diploma with a major in accounting.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel.

Experience with Business Central is considered an asset.

Previous experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
