The Clinical Educator supports the development of policies and procedures and quality improvement work that promote interprofessional, patient-family-centred care and evidence-based practice. The Clinical Educator plans, develops, facilitates, coordinates and evaluates educational opportunities for nursing staff; including orientation and skills development in new technology, medications, documentation and procedures for a broad range of practice competencies based on patient population. The Clinical Educator provides leadership, clinical coaching/mentoring, and educational activities to enhance knowledge transfer and staff development at both a corporate and a department level.Skills/Abilities/QualificationsRequiredMaster's Degree in Nursing or BScN with relevant OR/Perioperative experienceCurrent Registration as an RN from the College of Nurses of OntarioCompletion of a certificate course in OR/Perioperative NursingProficiency and knowledge with SurgiNet documentationCanadian Nurses Association CPNc (Canadian Perioperative Nursing Certificate)A minimum of five (5) years recent clinical related experience in OR and Perioperative areasA minimum of two (2) years relevant experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching,
