Clean Harbors is looking for Local Driver/Operator to join their safety‑conscious team in Fort McMurray, AB. The position requires experience in oilfield, industrial, or construction environments and the ability to operate a vacuum truck.

Position Details
Union Local 362 Teamsters position with a field rate of $39.37 per hour. The role follows a 7/7 rotation schedule of 10‑hour days, alternating between day and night shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure health and safety by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.

Safely drive equipment to and from work sites and operate units while on site.

Transport hazardous and non‑hazardous waste to Clean Harbors or approved third‑party disposal facilities.





Build client relations by providing high levels of customer service.

Complete all required paperwork daily, including pre/post trip inspection reports and field risk assessments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License (18‑speed manual transmission) required.

Must be local to Fort McMurray.

Valid First Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO/CSTS certificates required (training available and proof needed before first day).

Experience with hot loading and hot fluids is an asset.

Oilfield, industrial, or construction experience is an asset.

Previous vacuum truck and/or high‑pressure unit operating experience is an asset.

Previous experience in a labor‑intensive role.

Capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.

Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly during the shift.

Willingness to work 10‑12‑hour shifts and night shifts.

Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team‑focused, safety‑oriented environment.
