Career Opportunity: Occupational Therapist
Location: Vanderhoof, BC
Employment Type: Full-Time, 35 Hours per week

The Chance
Assess the child’s functional status through clinical observation in appropriate settings (home, daycare, etc.), administration of formal OT assessment, and consultation with family/caregivers.
Develop appropriate caseload management strategies including prioritization, goal-directed programming/intervention, waitlist management, and program evaluation.
Maintain professional development through attendance of in-services, workshops, courses, and conferences as appropriate.
Provide recommendations to the family/caregivers to facilitate development of the child’s functional skills and promote independence; recommendations include programming suggestions, therapeutic activities, specialized equipment, environmental modifications, and/or referral to other agencies/professionals.
What You Will Bring To The Role
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy or Rehabilitation Medicine.
Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).
Previous experience in primary care or with marginalized populations is an asset.
Benefits
Wage Range: $48.09 - $62.28 per hour. Wage placement is dependent on role-specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience, market conditions, and internal equity.
