TD Commercial Banking services the unique needs of Canadian businesses, customizing a broad range of products. As part of the Commercial Banking team, the Analyst Commercial Banking will provide credit‑writing support to a Relationship Manager who is the face of the Bank to our customers. The position reports to a Manager Commercial Credit who coordinates workflow and provides coaching on credit structure, pricing, and presentation.
The Analyst works on a two‑person team with a Relationship Manager, jointly managing a portfolio of approximately 60 mid‑market accounts with moderate to high complexity. Clients are incorporated entities seeking loans in the $1 – 15 million range. The Analyst is responsible for much of the credit‑writing for the team, structuring credits appropriately to meet customer needs and address perceived risk. The Analyst completes necessary due diligence and produces reviews and risk ratings that reflect knowledge of Bank policies and procedures.
Trends and conditions of accounts are proactively monitored, and action plans are developed for problem situations. This role delivers consistent and timely service to customers and assists the Commercial Banking management team in resolving customer problems with an innovative approach.
Job Requirements
Undergraduate degree in business or a relevant qualified designation. Ideally 2–3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or Account Manager in a business or banking environment, or equivalent experience in a related profession. Strong analytical and relationship‑management skills, and a commitment to further developing these abilities.
Language requirement (Quebec only): proficiency in a language other than French to support or deal with clients who need services in a non‑French language.
