Overview
National Procurement Specialist – responsible for managing building maintenance and leading procurement initiatives across Canada’s Contract Logistics network. The role focuses on indirect and capital spend categories such as Temporary Staffing Agencies, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Packaging/Supplies, driving cost efficiency, service excellence, and operational improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead national sourcing initiatives for indirect and capital spend categories across Contract Logistics operations.

Manage the full procurement lifecycle from prospect identification to implementation.

Ensure compliance with global procurement policies and alignment with internal stakeholders.

Drive cost savings, operational efficiency, and supplier performance.

Support tactical sourcing and continuous improvement across KN Locations.

Coordinate and support the business guidance around spend related activities at national and branch level, whilst aligning to global initiatives.

Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements.

Implement sourcing solutions across multiple logistics sites, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption.





Collaborate, partner, and manage the Global procurement team.

Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics affecting sourcing decisions.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in procurement, category management, operations, or a related function.

Exposure to facilities, management, MHE, warehouse equipment, staffing services, or other indirect spend categories is an asset.

Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.

Comfortable managing multiple priorities and projects in a structured, supportive environment.

Experience participating in or supporting RFPs, contract negotiations, or supplier management activities.

College degree or greater preferred, but not mandatory.

Benefits
Annual salary range: $90,000 – $113,000. Total rewards package includes health and dental benefits, retirement savings plan, and tuition reimbursement. Pay is determined by experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity and other relevant business considerations.
