Project Manager – Mandatory Mandate
We are looking to hire one Project Manager for a six‑month contract with the possibility of extension based on operational requirements.
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring a high-priority operational change project. Working with the Strategy and Planning Manager, the PM will identify critical compliance and operational project requirements, creating overall timelines for the project. The PM must oversee a phased delivery plan that sequences and manages all relevant operational activities across departments, ensuring a coordinated rollout that minimizes disruption and supports long‑term implementation activities.
Responsibilities
Manage a complex, time‑sensitive operational change project, providing project‑management leadership from planning through to closeout.
Lead the development of project schedules and timelines, incorporating key dependencies and team capacity, while tracking deliverables across project and functional teams.
Oversee phased delivery plans, sequencing cross‑departmental operational activities to ensure a coordinated rollout with minimal disruption and effective long‑term implementation.
Identify critical compliance and operational project requirements to ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.
Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including internal departments, external consultants, partners, and government), leading cross‑functional coordination and project meetings to ensure timely delivery of project activities.
Liaise with external consultants on legal components of the project, ensuring alignment with internal timelines and functional work.
Collaborate as part of a team to support broader service and corporate objectives.
Foster a unified team approach, leveraging diverse skills and perspectives to achieve optimal project outcomes.
Identify,
track, and resolve complex project risks and issues, managing stakeholder expectations and facilitating conflict resolution.
Maintain strong documentation and organisational practices across multiple functional teams.
Lead quality assurance of project deliverables and communicate project status, risks, and progress to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is mandatory.
3–5 years of project‑management experience with a proven ability to coordinate multiple priorities and deliver projects successfully.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Must have demonstrated experience managing complex, high‑priority initiatives that span multiple departments and stakeholder groups. Must possess strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams. Experience with non‑profits and government contracts is preferred.
Project Management Skilled (PMP) or relevant certification preferred.
A Criminal Records Check is required as a condition upon hire.
Salary
$78,188 – $97,735 annually.
