Help shape the future of children and youth’s mental health as a Mental Health Therapist with Carrier Sekani Family Services. This full time role will be based in Vanderhoof, Fort St. James, or Burns Lake.
Carrier Sekani Family Services is at the forefront of Indigenous health, providing holistic mental health services tailored to children and youth. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Social Work, Educational Counseling, or Clinical Psychology, and have a minimum of two years’ experience in community settings. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that services address both cultural and socioeconomic factors affecting mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer tailored therapy services for youth
• Collaborate in multi-disciplinary mental health teams
• Engage educational and cultural community resources
• Document and assess client progress regularly
• Educate families on mental health issues
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Registered with a professional association
• Two years of relevant mental health experience
• Understanding of Indigenous cultural contexts
• Strong assessment and intervention skills
Contribute to positive mental health outcomes for youth through dedicated service at CSFS.
