Join Northern Health as a part time Family Physician, focusing on Opioid Agonist Treatment and primary care in Hazelton, BC. This role ensures comprehensive support without on-call duties.
The role provides an excellent opportunity to work within a highly supportive interdisciplinary team to deliver OAT and primary care. You will maintain a panel of 325 patients while providing ongoing care to approximately 20 individuals on OAT. Enjoy mentorship from experienced clinicians and no responsibilities involving hospitalization or emergency services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide maintenance OAT for approximately 20 patients monthly
• Maintain patient care for at least 325 individuals
• Collaborate with community mental health and health professionals
• Engage in an interprofessional rural healthcare setting
• Utilize digital technologies for effective communication
Requirements:
• Experience with team-based OAT provision
• Current ACLS and ATLS certifications essential
• Completed Indigenous Cultural Safety training
• Effective communication skills
• Commitment to partnership with Indigenous communities
